The People Central Team
The business was founded in 1999 by Steve Evans. After years working in HR Management in the demanding health and finance sectors, Steve decided to branch out on his own to offer all employers HR services usually associated with corporate and public sector bodies with sophisticated HR functions.
He’s always been passionate about HR. He’s a member of the HRINZ and qualified into the UK’s Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in 1991 before becoming fully qualified to run personality and ability focused psychometric assessments five years later. He is accredited through both the British Psychological Society and New Zealand Council of Educational Research allowing him to run just about every psychometric tool on the planet.
Steve began the business in England exceeding the expectations of clients such as public healthcare NGO’s, multinational investment banks, FMCG, engineering and manufacturing businesses.
Based in New Zealand since 2005, People Central has clients across the country through its network of experienced test and assessment consultants throughout New Zealand, with further associates in England and Australia.
In August 2007, Katie Durbin joined People Central from a public healthcare background. Katie is also fully qualified to run psychometric assessments and has played a pivotal role in developing the people development arm of the business.
