Employers looking to recruit staff into permanent and skilled roles would do well to take a closer look at recent shifts in the Ministry of Social Development’s (MSD) approach to people receiving benefits, which will see a section of society returning to the workforce, accompanied by significant incentives for employers to take them on.
‘Returning to work Mothers’ with valuable work experience already under their belts are expected to make up much of this group and where the recruitment and induction training of staff is likely to incur significant expenditure of time, effort and dollars, MSD have made available up to $5,000 per employee to assist with that investment.
